#TOW TIPS AND WHAT TO DO WITH THEM?!
The other day I got a tip (of the day), and I have to admit, I started applying it immediately. I’m a smart boy, yet I wondered, what do we do with the tips we get daily?
One thing is clear, we get several tips every day, but what should we do with them? Take yourself for example. How often do you receive tips and are you aware that you are receiving them? How many of them do you process and implement? Most often, we are not aware of the fact that we get several tips a day.
That’s why, concerning this question, people are divided in three groups:
1. Those who don’t listen to tips.
2. Those who think that the tip they got is good for them, yet still do nothing with it.
3. Those who listen to the tips and then carefully analyze them and determine whether they would be applicable for them or not.
Why people refuse to accept tips:
1. Different perception of reality than others — not accepting the reality or simply negating the fact that we live in the same world and same environment.
2. Fear of the unknown — fear of leaving the comfort zone that we live in, so it’s easiest not to accept the tip and go on living in the zone they’re at. Getting out of the comfort zone is getting into the unknown.
3. Not accepting the fact the we are responsible for our successes and failures — often we are ready to blame someone else for our failure, rather than analyze ourselves, see why that failure occurred and how can we improve next time. Excuses everywhere!
Let’s see what we can do with the tips we get. Ok, let’s say you are group 3 type of person and, one way or another; you are ready to accept the tips. What next? Here are several tips, so see what you’re going to do with them:
· Listen — the most important thing in this process is to listen and understand the tip which has been rightfully given to you. With proper listening to the tip you can go on to the next level which is:
· Analyze — every tip needs to be properly analyzed, i.e. you have to make a decision on whether it is applicable for you or not. If you decide that it isn’t, you have to explain to your collocutor why not. Yet, if you decide that it is, then:
· Application — you have to grade the application of the tip, i.e. see whether it is applicable for your everyday life or only for a certain part of it; whether it is applicable for home or work, with colleagues or friends, etc. so that you can move on to the next level, which is:
· Implementation — this is the most difficult part where we most often give up. In order for a tip to be applied, we have to be aware that it’ll change us and not everyone is ready for changes.
· Sharing — it would be nice to share the lessons learned and changes that happened to you while implementing the tip with the people around you. But always bear in mind that:
Good tip is always certain to be ignored, but that’s no reason not to give it!

I wish you success with your changes!
